What is the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding coordinator?

A wedding planner is involved throughout the planning process and can assist with the overall vision, vendors, logistics, design decisions, budgeting, and organization.

A wedding coordinator focuses primarily on bringing your existing plans together, organizing the final details, creating or managing the wedding-day timeline, communicating with vendors, and helping everything flow smoothly on your wedding day.

We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially for popular wedding dates. Earlier booking gives us more time to understand your vision, organize details, communicate with vendors, and create a smooth planning experience.

Why do I need a wedding coordinator if my venue already has one?

Venue coordinators generally focus on responsibilities related to the venue. Your personal wedding coordinator focuses on you, your timeline, your vendors, your details, and the overall flow of your celebration.

We work alongside your venue and vendors so everyone understands the plan.

Weddings involve many moving pieces, and unexpected situations can happen.

Our role is to problem-solve calmly, communicate with the appropriate vendors, adjust logistics when reasonably possible, and keep unnecessary stress away from the couple so you can remain present and enjoy your celebration.

This depends on your selected package. When setup oversight or décor installation is included, our team will help ensure the agreed-upon details are placed according to the established plan.

Yes. Depending on your planning package, we can assist with finding and coordinating vendors that complement your wedding vision, needs, and budget.

Final vendor selections and contracts remain subject to the individual vendor’s availability, pricing, and terms.

Yes. Destination and travel events may be available depending on the date and location. Travel, accommodations, transportation, and other destination-related expenses will be included in your customized proposal when applicable.

Your event date is officially reserved once the required retainer and booking agreement have been received.

Retainers are applied toward your total balance and are non-refundable, as your date is reserved exclusively for your event. Remaining balances must be paid according to the payment schedule provided with your booking.

Services, rentals, and inventory are not guaranteed until your reservation has been confirmed.

By booking GREIA Events, the Client agrees to provide a safe environment for our staff, equipment, and services and accepts responsibility for damage, loss, theft, or misuse of GREIA Events property caused by the Client, guests, venue personnel, or other vendors while under the Client’s responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GREIA Events shall not be responsible for injuries, damages, delays, losses, or service interruptions resulting from guest misconduct, venue restrictions, unsafe conditions, severe weather, third-party actions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. GREIA Events reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue service when conditions become unsafe, unlawful, or threatening to our staff, guests, or property.

Nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
